Coteau Baptist Church

Cynthia was raised in Shreveport, LA and moved to Houma, LA in 1995 with her husband Jon. They have 3 grown children- Julia, Jessica and Jeremy, 1 grandson Jack and 1 granddaughter Charlie. Cynthia grew up in the Baptist church and accepted Christ as a child. In her early 20’s, she felt that she never really had accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. During a revival, at the church she grew up in, she accepted Him as her Lord and Savior and has been serving Him ever since. She worked in daycare for many years as well as working as a volunteer in the nursery at several churches. In January of 2018, God called her to Coteau Baptist Church where she serves as Nursery Coordinator. She also volunteers alongside her husband in the Children’s Ministry as a teacher of Kindergarten – 2^nd graders on Wednesday nights.  Her husband Jon has completely revamped the Children’s Ministry with Team Kid on Wednesday nights and has started Bible Drills. Jon is also the leader of our Senior Adult Ministry and Single Adult Ministry. Jon has a Masters of Divinity from New Orlean Baptist Theological Seminary. 

Cynthia’s belief is that a child is never too young to learn about Jesus and the Bible. “Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6
